Hesiod has the story of a Virginia family whose home was burned down because they had the audacity to protest the war quietly and peacefully by posting a sign on their house.
The comments section to Hesiod's original post is worth reading...at least the first eleven (including mine! toot toot).
You can just bet finding the perpetrator of this crime will be high on John Ashcroft's list of priorities...right up there after "clip tonails and alphabetise collection of hymnals".
